Here's a little bit about me.
Hey, I'm Courtney Bow!
I grew up all over California and have a deep love for all of it has to offer, from the ocean to the redwoods. It'll always be home.
I've always leaned into what lights me up. When I was younger, I loved photography and art. I got my first camera in elementary school and would have photoshoots with my friends throughout middle school and high school which somehow led to me photographing my first wedding when I was 17.
I moved to and fell in love with Santa Cruz, California right after college and started my media business. Since then, I’ve captured hundreds of weddings, families, and brands. I've been so lucky to connect with the most incredible people over the years through photography and videography. I honestly feel like I have the best job in the world.
My goal as a photographer and videographer is to capture things as organically as possible. Whether it’s the laughter and tears of your wedding day or the origin story of your brand, I want to co-create with you in a way that feels authentic and will continue to feel authentic for years to come—so that your great-great-grandkids can look back at these photos and videos knowing who you were, and in a way, know who they are.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs, artists and teachers.
My great-great-grandfather, Pio Piacentini, came to the United States from Arsoli, Italy, in 1907.
His daughter (my Nana) along with her twin brothers, Michael and Angelo started Italian restaurants on Catalina Island in the ‘30s.
My Grandma Chicki (my Nana's daughter) was a writer and her husband, my Grandpa Oz was a photographer. They traveled through South America, taking photos and writing tourist books in the ‘80s. I love looking back on their photos and feeling connected to them.
I think about them all the time as I’ve grown my own business focused on telling people’s stories.
I’m so stoked you’re here. Let’s tell your story.
