Here's a little bit of my story.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs.
My great-great-grandfather, Pio Piacentini, came to the United States from Arsoli, Italy, in 1907.
His daughter (my Nana) along with her twin brothers, Michael and Angelo (I know, so cool), started Italian restaurants on Catalina Island in the ‘30s.
My Grandma Chicki (my Nana's daughter) was a writer and her husband, my Grandpa Oz was a photographer. They traveled through South America, taking photos and writing tourist books in the ‘80s.
I think about my ancestors all the time and have felt them guiding me as I’ve grown my own business focused on telling people’s stories. Entrepreneurship and art have always been my path.
I photographed my first wedding when I was 17. (shoutout to my Auntie Lu for trusting me!)
Since then, I’ve captured hundreds of weddings, families, and brands as I’ve grown my business, Sand and Stone Media.
I was born and raised all over California. After graduating from university, I fell in love with Santa Cruz, California, which is where I live now.
My goal as a photographer and videographer is to capture all of the feelings. Whether it’s the laughter and tears of your wedding day or the origin story of your brand, I want to co-create with you in a way that feels authentic and will continue to feel authentic for years to come—so that your great-great-grandkids can look back at these photos and videos with excitement, knowing who you were, and in a way, know who they are.
I’m so stoked you’re here. Let’s tell your story.
