Henry Cowell Redwood State Park

Christina and Morgan wanted their engagement photos to be in the redwoods so we met at Henry Cowell State Park and captured MAGIC. Pro tip: the best lighting in the redwoods is either three hour after the sun comes up or three hours before the sun goes down. That way the sun is high enough in the sky to get that light shining through. They drove to Santa Cruz for the shoot and we went for a walk through the redwood loop where we looked for light spots through the trees. Christina and Morgan have been together for five years and went to a bar where a local country band was playing, they danced to Tennessee Whiskey and had an amazing night so we played Tennessee Whiskey during their engagement photo session and they danced to it in the woods. We get to capture their wedding next October and we can't wait!
